Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian decided to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Tasnim news agency reported on July 2.
“Pezeshkian has issued a decree suspending cooperation with the IAEA,” the agency wrote.
On June 29, Iran’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, said that Tehran could resume cooperation with the IAEA if the agency’s representatives begin to fulfill their duties.
Earlier, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf called the IAEA “a protector and servant of Israel.” According to the speaker, cooperation between Tehran and the agency is impossible until the security of Iran’s nuclear facilities is guaranteed.
