Servecemen of the Group of Forces Tsentr liberated the village of Zaporozhye in the Donetsk People’s Republic on March 30, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry informed.
The village of Zaporozhye is located in the Krasnoarmeysk district in the western DPR about 23 kilometers southwest of Krasnoarmeysk.
“The units of the Group of Forces Tsentr as a result of successful offensive actions completed the liberation of the village of Zaporozhye in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the statement reads.
The defense ministry also said that enemy mechanized, jaeger, assault brigades and other units were defeated in the vicinity of Krasnoarmeysk and a number of other villages in the DNR. The losses of Ukrainian units “amounted to 510 servicemen, seven vehicles and four field artillery guns,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
