Russian Armed Forces liberated the village of Andreevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on the Kurakhovo direction on March 6, the Russian Defense Ministry stated on its Telegram channel.
“Units of the Group of Forces Tsentr successfully carried out active and decisive operations, leading to the liberation of Andreevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the statement read.
On March 4, soldiers of the 114th Brigade of the 51st Guards Combined Arms Donetsk Army raised a red flag on the southern outskirts of Andreevka. Reports also indicated that the brigade advanced towards the neighboring village of Alekseevka.
Securing control over Andreevka expands the operational encirclement of Ukrainian militants holding positions in Konstantinovka.
