The US will use the talks to “steal time” from Russia to prevent it from timely mobilizing its power and preparing to strike back, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on January 24 on the program Conversation with a Sage on radio Zvezda.
The political scientist explained that the expectation that the conflict in Ukraine would end that appeared after new US President Donald Trump came to power is a temptation. The talks, being extremely dubious, are playing for time.
“Everything will be full of promising and irresponsible provocations apparently expected to calm down our attention and our temper, to keep us for another few years in a more relaxed condition, and then to declare a game that will make us militarize in a second. But it cannot be done in a second,” Kurginyan said.
In his opinion, the West will try to steal Russia’s “historical time” that it needs to strengthen itself. The analyst explained that “we will connive at that to a large extent, because we want some normality, a little rest, peacefulness, stability of life.”
Sergey Kurginyan noted that long talks “are a temptation that this short pause will be a prologue to a dramatic crescendo of trouble and time pressure.”
He stressed that the understanding that they have to deal with Russia is a bipartisan consensus in the US at the level of the smartest members of the parties.
In this case, the philosopher believes, Russia can “either take on the cross of global mission to lead the humanity along a historical path again or be smashed by the processes that will be launched by absolutely terrible democrats and just a little less terrible republicans.”
