Ouest-France: US profits from conflict in Ukraine reach record levels

27.01.2025, Paris.

US revenues from arms sales amid the Ukraine conflict rose by 29% in 2024, reaching a record $318.7 billion, according to the US State Department, as reported by the French newspaper Ouest-France on January 25.

The publication highlighted that the increase is driven by heightened demand for weapons. Countries providing military aid to the Kiev regime are forced to replenish their depleted stockpiles.

“US arms dealers expect sustained orders for artillery shells, Patriot interceptor missiles, and armored vehicles in the coming quarters,” the article noted.

On January 21, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order freezing aid to other countries, including Ukraine, for 90 days. The new US administration aims to evaluate how funds are being spent, assess their effectiveness, and ensure there is no duplication of obligations.
