Kalashnikov Concern reveals details of new AK-12 variants

The JSC Kalashnikov Concern presented two new modifications of the AK-12 rifle: a compact version and a variant with a shortened length barrel, the company’s press service reported on January 27.

These models will be showcased for the first time at the international exhibition IDEX-2025, scheduled for February in Abu Dhabi.

The statement notes that the updated AK-12K and AK-12SK models, chambered for 5.45×39 mm rounds, are designed for combating enemy personnel. These rifles feature improved technical, ergonomic, and operational characteristics tailored to meet the demands of modern combat.

The AK-12K and AK-12SK will be on display at the IDEX-2025 exhibition, which will take place from February 17 to 21 in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. According to the company, the new models aim to enhance combat effectiveness by providing maximum mobility and ease of use.
