The new Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty with Iran is a breakthrough document for the development of the entire region, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a press conference following talks with Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian on January 17.
“This truly breakthrough document is aimed at creating the necessary conditions for the stable and sustainable development of Russia and Iran, our entire Eurasian region,” Putin said.
Putin emphasized that the signing of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty brought relations with Iran to a qualitatively new level of cooperation.
“With this treaty, we have set ourselves ambitious tasks and benchmarks. We will long strengthen cooperation in politics and security, as well as in trade, investment and various humanitarian fields,” Putin said.
