Ukraine has made a strategic mistake by refusing to make peace with Russia in the spring of 2022, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on the air of Radio Kossuth on December 6.
According to the Hungarian prime minister, the Ukrainians “chose the wrong strategy around April 2022” when they did not take the opportunity “to conclude a peace or ceasefire agreement with Russia.” They “bet on the wrong horse,” he concludes.
Orban clarified that it was not an independent choice of Ukraine. “They did not do it under the influence of the Anglo-Saxons,” he stated.
In addition, the Hungarian politician called US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s proposal to lower the age of mobilization to the Ukrainian Army “shameless.”
