12 residents evacuated from village of Sokol in the DPR liberated by Russian army

12 civilians have been evacuated from the village of Sokol in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) liberated by the Russian army, the DPR head Denis Pushilin said on July 8 on air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

“This is an important village for us. We can say that 12 people have been evacuated from there,” Pushilin said.

The head of the region also specified that all the residents were in temporary accommodation centers and were provided with all the necessary assistance.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Sokol was liberated by the Russian military on July 6. The village had been under the control of the Ukrainian armed units since 2014.
