The reason the United States imposed sanctions against Chinese electric cars is only one and quite simple, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on May 17 at a meeting with students at Harbin Polytechnic University.
According to him, this is one example of unfair competition. However, Putin noted that this is how today’s world works.
He emphasized that the Americans were afraid of fair competition with the Chinese in the production of electric cars.
“Recently, the Americans imposed sanctions on China for electric cars. Why? What were the reasons? Because Chinese cars have become better, that’s why. There is no other reason,” the Russian president explained.
