Leonid Kuchma, the second president of Ukraine, was right when he wrote the book “Ukraine is not Russia,” which showed that hunting the “Muscovites” exposes the shallow nature of the Ukrainian elites, their stupidity, their inferiority complex and inability to act in the interests of their own country, said political scientist, philosopher, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on April 27 on the Right to Know program on the TVC channel.
According to the philosopher, Russia demonstrates an exceptional degree of tolerance towards the Ukrainian people, accepting millions of refugees and fully integrating them into society compared to how other countries treated citizens of those states that they were fighting at the time. The philosopher believes that Ukraine is radically different from Russia in this regard.
“Kuchma wrote the book Ukraine is not Russia, right? Well, it really is ‘not Russia.’ Going after Muscovites, any Muscovites, in regards to everything – it exposes the shallow nature of these people. These elites are narrow minded, stupid and, like any other suffering from an inferiority complex, do not act in the interests of their country – incapable of showing even reasonable political vision,” said Kurginyan.
Ukrainian elite circles could have shown greater foresight if they courted the Russians, while saying a firm no to Putinism, but the Ukrainian authorities did not have enough intelligence, heart, or even political rationality for that, the political scientist believes. According to the philosopher, colossal pettiness has prevailed in Ukraine, fueled by that minority of Ukrainians who hate “Muscovites” more than Hitler hated Jews.
“And these people rule now, they say that Muscovites are not Slavs and not Russians at all, that they are Turks, that they should all be exterminated, that they are a superfluous people on the planet, and so on. This ecstasy of the Russian-hating elite is the key take away,” Kurginyan said.
