The Times is not the only one to have noticed the Russian exhibition. Chinese social networks are just full of videos of trophies on display at Poklonnaya Hill
The Victory Park in Moscow is preparing to open an exhibition of trophies captured by the Russian army during the special military operation in Ukraine on May 1.
Rossa Primavera News Agency‘s correspondent visited Poklonaya Hill on the eve of the event. The weather was good. There were many visitors in the park. Although the exposition has not been opened yet, the equipment is already in place, and, although not at very close range, you can see enemy tanks, IFVs, armored cars and other vehicles.
Many people came to see the trophy vehicles the day before the exhibition opened. And, as you would expect, there were many children, who always enjoy looking at military equipment and are especially happy if they can climb on it. And children were ready to climb not only on the equipment.
The Russian troops had actually assembled an almost complete collection of Western-made trophy armored vehicles.
A US M88A1 armored repair and recovery vehicle from the Avdeevka area has already been brought to Moscow for the exhibition. Also, 31 units of trophy equipment have already been brought there, including:
– German Leopard tanks and Marder BMPs;
– US IFV Bradley, APC M113, armored vehicles MaxxPro, HMMWV, howitzer M777;
– British armored vehicles AT105 Sakson, Mastiff and Husky TSV;
– Austrian all-terrain vehicle Pinzgauer 712M;
– Turkish armored vehicle Kirpi;
– French AMX-10RC wheeled tank;
– Swedish IFV CV90;
– Australian Bushmaster armored vehicle;
– Finnish Sisu Pasi XA-180/185 APC;
– South African armored vehicle Mamba MK2;
– Czech BMP-1;
– Ukrainian tank support vehicle Azovets.
Information stands will tell visitors about the technical specifications and the locations and circumstances of trophy captures.
The technique can be viewed while walking in the park among the red flags. Especially since they are appropriate in this case, history does repeat itself in some ways. At the exhibition, next to the 1942 German Marder self-propelled machine gun is its more modern German counterpart Marder, designed at the end of the 20th century.
A German Leopard 2A6 main battle tank captured in the conflict stands prominently in the sunshine.
And not far from, a German Marder infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) was placed.
Another very damaged exhibit originally came to Ukraine from Australia. This is a Bushmaster truck.
The first M1 Abrams tank that was hit was also sent to the exhibition. Our soldiers’ trophy was evacuated from Avdeevka’s direction. The vehicle was in possession of the 47th brigade of the Ukrainian armed units.
The exhibition had not yet opened, but the Western media published their first reviews. Here is one of the most remarkable ones – from the UK, whose equipment is also at the exhibition.
“British Mastiff and Saxon armoured personnel carriers and an American Bradley infantry fighting vehicle that were seized during the conflict in Ukraine are being shown off at an open-air exhibition in the city’s Victory Park district. The exhibition also includes a German Leopard tank, a Swedish CV90 combat vehicle and a French-made AMX-10RC armoured vehicle,” wrote The Times. . The newspaper noted that the exhibition is taking place against the backdrop of the Russian army’s advance on the Ukrainian front. It reflects growing optimism in Russia that the war is turning decisively in its favor.
The Times is not the only one to have noticed the Russian exhibition. Chinese social networks are just full of videos of trophies displayed on Poklonnaya Hill, and the Chinese are discussing with great interest what, whose and how the Russian military shot down.
