Russia needs to be careful in regards to integrating with global conservative forces in order to prevent the call for the denazification of Ukraine from being nullified, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on April 20 in his author’s program Destiny.
“Although, I realize that the leftists are so disgusting, and the liberals have become so fascist that the lack of options is best described by the phrase from the protagonist in the Soviet film ‘Chapaev’ – ‘where can a peasant go’. And there is a huge urge to lean towards the conservatives. To what degree, though?” – said Kurginyan.
In order to answer such a question we must investigate to what extent the conservative forces abroad are independent of Russia’s foes, noted the philosopher. He recalled how the US blogger Tucker Carlson first interviewed Russian President Vladimir Putin and then attacked his statement about denazification, calling it the silliest idea he had ever heard.
Carlson did this because he is not just a conservative, but because he supports fascization and considers it as his own, Kurginyan explained.
“If everyone wanted so much to march under conservative banners, fight for a spot under the sun and so on, and not mention the denazification, that means it was intentional. However, denazification was mentioned! And our foes are attacking it. If there is some kind of dirty trace in this story with the Ivan Ilyin Higher Political School (Ivan Ilyin was an anti-communist Russian thinker who collaborated with Nazi Germany – translator’s note), then it is linked with the key pressure point – ‘it’s those damn denazifiers.’ And we cannot allow this,” said the political scientist.
Kurginyan emphasized that he was proud of the fact that denazification is included among the goals of the special military operation in Ukraine where Stepan Bandera (a Nazi collaborator during WWII) is glorified. The expert stressed that he had nothing to do with such a decision. He called this as the absolutely proper, existentially correct position of the Russian authorities, calling it – the highest achievement.
“But having said ‘a’, you must say ‘b’,” urged the leader of the Essence of Time movement.
