The Volnorez mobile electronic warfare system installed on the heavy flamethrower system Solntsepyok prevented Ukrainian drones from blowing up the vehicle, the system’s developer told RIA Novosti on April 19.
The Ukrainian militants tried to hit the Solntsepyok for several night hours. However, they were never able to achieve the result. Five or six drones were used.
There were no Russian soldiers inside at the time of the attack. According to the developer Stanislav, whose full name the agency does not give, it was probably out of order. After the attack, the vehicle was evacuated and repaired. It is now back in combat operations.
