The language of artificial intelligence, unlike human language, is not metaphoric, which means artificial intelligence has no capability for creative work, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on March 22 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.
Kurginyan touched on the topic of the future of humanity that can come in thirty or forty years after artificial intelligence transforms from a set of programs into a really powerful force. The political scientist raised a question what will happen to Man and whether he will be able to compete with artificial intelligence.
“What is he (Man – Rossa Primavera News Agency) himself? Is he a sort of a broken toy controlled by a broken intelligence?” the leader of Essence of Time said.
Also, Sergey Kurginyan proposed another statement that Man is something greater than a broken toy and that he can reach a qualitatively new level of development.
“Alternatively, there must be forces that can transform him from a broken toy into something whole and complete and bring him to absolutely new horizons where he is driven by something else working at different speed, leaving far behind any kind of artificial intelligence,” the philosopher noted.
Kurginyan explained what the key peculiarity of human language is, without which creative work is impossible.
“Any artificial intelligence language lacks the key peculiarity of human language, metaphor. Without it there is no creative work, and there cannot be. This is the point,” he stressed.
