The Ukrainian armed units’ heavy losses in attacks on border areas of the Belgorod and Kursk Regions correspond to a real military operation, not sabotage-recon tasks, according to the report from the theater of war, published in The Essence of Time newspaper, issue 579.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on March 20 that the Ukrainian armed units’ losses during attacks on Russian border villages in the Belgorod and Kursk Regions over eight days exceeded 3,500 people, of whom 790 were killed.
“Such high losses indicate that the Ukrainian armed units are conducting a real military operation in Russia’s border areas. And not a series of small-scale sabotage-recon operations, as the media are trying to convince us,” The Essence of Time editorial reads.
