One of the visitors of the Crocus City Hall managed to resist an armed terrorist. He told about his action to the journalists of the TV channel Russia 24 on March 23.
Finding himself at close range with a terrorist reloading an assault rifle, a visitor was able to seize the moment and disarm the attacker.
“The moment he got close to us, he started reloading his weapon. I had a second to think,” he said, “I pushed my wife away and ran around to his left. I grabbed the machine gun with my left hand, pulled it down, and started hitting him on the head with my right hand.”
Another man came to his aid and helped him “knock out” the attacker.
The spectator of the failed concert, who wished to remain anonymous, explained that he saw the horror in his wife’s eyes and realized that it was necessary to act decisively.
“I looked at my spouse, saw the wild terror in her eyes. And I realized that I had to do something,” he stressed.
According to the Investigative Committee, the death toll from the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall has risen to 133 people. About 80 more were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.
