The Russian army took the village of Krasnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic under its control, the Russian Defense Ministry said on March 23.
“On the Donetsk direction, the village of Krasnoye of the Donetsk People’s Republic has been liberated as a result of successful actions of the units of the Yug Group of Forces,” the statement reads.
Krasnoye village is located in the northern DPR. In 2001, more than 1,700 people lived there. The village’s liberation will improve the tactical position along the front line.
