Russia began mass production of FAB-3000 aerial bombs began in February, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry informed March 21.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu visited a defense-industrial complex enterprise in Nizhny Novgorod Region. According to the press service, during this visit the minister was informed that “mass production of FAB-3000 has been organized since February of this year”.
At the same time, the plant has increased production of FAB-500 bombs several times. The production of FAB-1500 bombs was also doubled. The production of modern artillery and aviation weapons was increased five times.
In addition, the company expanded the range of artillery ammunition produced.
