Foreign policy statements by the leaders of Western countries threaten the beginning of a nuclear conflict and the death of civilization. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this on February 29 during his address to the Federal Assembly.
As the president said, “Everything that they are inventing now, what they are scaring the whole world with… all this really threatens a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons, which means the destruction of civilization.”
In addition, Putin said, “There has been talk about the possibility of sending NATO military contingents to Ukraine. We remember the fate of those who once sent their contingents to the territory of our country. Now the consequences for possible interventionists will be much more tragic.”
The head of state went on to say, “They should eventually realize that we also have weapons. They know about it. We also have weapons that can hit targets on their territory.”
He added that Russia’s strategic nuclear forces have been put on full alert, noting, “Don’t they realize that? These are people who have not gone through hard trials. Have they already forgotten what war is?”
It should be noted that earlier Vladimir Putin called allegations about Russia’s plans to deploy nuclear weapons in space unsubstantiated speculations.
