Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov: The US is against communicating Putin’s ideology to ordinary Americans

11.02.2024, Moscow.

The United States does not want Putin’s ideology to reach ordinary Americans, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with the author and co-host of the program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin,” to Pavel Zarubin on February 10.

Not everyone wants to hear this. We see the US officials calling this interview unnecessary and urging not to read it. They don’t want Putin’s true worldview to become available to ordinary Americans. But this time it’s happening anyway. It can’t be stifled – the world has changed,” Peskov said.

Peskov added that the ordinary American has little interest or knowledge of foreign countries.

Americans traditionally live in their own world and have little interest in foreign countries, oddly enough, and they know little about foreign countries. Therefore, it was very important to bring Putin’s ideology to ordinary Americans,” Peskov told the journalist.

Putin’s interview with Carlson was published on Carlson’s website on the night of February 9. In the first 15 minutes since its publication it was watched by more than 2.5 million people.
