Kurginyan explains why Europe shows no reaction to Italy’s decision to allow the Nazi salute

09.02.2024, Moscow.

Europe unanimously remained silent when the Italian Supreme Court allowed the fascists’ traditional salute, which means that the issue had been agreed beforehand, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on January 27 on the program Right to Know on channel TVC.

He commented the statement of political scientist Aleksandr Sosnovsky that the united Europe project suggests not only common economy, but also common principles and values, so the legalization of the Nazi salute in Italy will definitely affect Germany as well.

When Hungary speaks, and it [Europe] does not like something, the entire Europe screams, and they discuss how to deal with the leader of Hungary, how to deal with Hungary itself, and how to resolve this, Kurginyan said.

The philosopher indicated that there was not a single European voice that would oppose the step towards re-Nazification, and this issue remains totally silenced. Also, Israel did not speak against either despite the fact that many Jews were killed by Nazism, Kurginyan added.

He said that for a long time he tried to understand who is actually ruling Israel, and he came to a conclusion that it is the judicial authorities. This is also supported by the fact that protests began after the prime minister of this country Benjamin Netanyahu attempted to cut the powers of the judicial authorities.

Well, the judicial authorities are not something insignificant anywhere in the world. They do not speak out or say that you should behave one way or another. They do not determine asset prices. They determine strategy. And I do not believe in an Italy that is separate from the EU. I do not believe that there is an independent judicial elite, Kurginyan said.

Kurginyan is confident that the judicial elite is part of para-political structures that can quickly rebuff anyone whose actions fly in the face of the common principles. This is achieved through an aggressive media reaction and strong statements by the political establishment, the political scientist explained.

According to Kurginyan, if no one rebuffs the Italian judges who allowed the Nazi salute, it means that this issue had been agreed beforehand. He believes this is a test and another step towards Nazification.

Besides, on this issue. You know that they have always said through clenched teeth, ‘Mussolini, Franco were not too bad,’” Kurginyan added.

The political scientist also indicated that Europe has never condemned the Kiev regime’s attacks against the peaceful cities of Donbass, and now it even supports the shelling of the people in Russian cities by the Ukrainian army. Meanwhile, Israel faced condemnation for excessive violence in its war against HAMAS, the philosopher added.

On January 20, the Supreme Court of Italy allowed the Nazi salute to be used if it does not aim to restore the fascist party. For example, it is now permitted to make the Nazi salute at commemorative events.
