Russian Defense Ministry: Russian Armed Forces strike on Ukrainian president’s 1st brigade

Fire attack with the help of bomber aircraft and artillery was carried out on the places where the Ukrainian president’s 1st brigade amassed its manpower, the head of the press center of the Russian Armed Forces’ Army Group Vostok Aleksandr Gordeev said on February 7, RIA Novosti wrote.

“Strikes by bomber aircraft and artillery fire have hit strongholds and places of accumulation of the Ukrainian president’s 1st brigade [a unit of the Ukrainian National Guard – Rossa Primavera News Agency],” Gordeev said.

The head of the press center noted that the strikes also hit the 58th Motorized Infantry Brigade and the 72nd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian armed units.

The targeted brigades are located in the towns of Urozhaynoye, Ugledar and Dobropolye.

On 7 February, the chairman of the We Are With Russia movement Vladimir Rogov said that the Russian Armed Forces advanced by an average of 300-400 meters near the village of Pryutnoye in  the Zaporozhye region.

On 6 February, the Russian Defence Ministry said that units of the Russian Armed Forces had “improved their position on the front line” in the southern Donetsk region.
