Red Sea crisis may bring neo-Nazis to power in Europe. Opinion

Problems with transporting goods across the Red Sea will have a negative impact on Europe’s economy, which may eventually bring neo-Nazis to power, according to the report from the theater of war, published in The Essence of Time newspaper, issue 571.

Italian newspaper il Messaggero writes about the problems faced by Europe due to the crisis in the Red Sea. The publication notes that various types of products that are delivered to Europe from Asia by container ships can rise in price by 10%. This affects electronics, interior design, fashion, auto parts and even gas supplies from the Middle East.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said that Italy has already started to incur losses due to the attacks of the Houthis on ships in the Red Sea. Due to the current situation, problems arise not only with the import of Asian goods, but also with the export of European goods. According to Coldiretti, an association of agricultural producers, exports of Italian fruits and vegetables worth half a billion euros are at risk.

“Vegetables/fruits are quite perishable goods, and a delay of 10-20 days in transportation can be critical for their safety. So, there is a risk that European farmers will not be able to export their products, the sharply increased supply on the domestic market will collapse prices and… give farmers another good reason to protest against the authorities.

In other words, this is another lever of pressure on Europe, and given the growing popularity of right-wing parties, everything can eventually come down to the fact that neo-Nazis will come to power in one form or another,” The Essence of Time editorial reads.
