The US has radically changed its policy, now favoring Palestine and putting Israel in a losing position, said philosopher, analyst, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on the air of the Conversation with a Sage program on Radio Zvezda on December 01.
The political scientist noted that the US foreign policy has changed dramatically since the early 2000s.
He recalled that initially Condoleezza Rice, former Secretary of State under US President George W. Bush, then Bush himself and other US politicians declared “that they are changing their previous course, to mention the question of the Equinox Storm, by 180 degrees, that all their former allies are enemies, and all their former enemies are allies.”
The political analyst believes that Israel could hear a significant change in Washington’s rhetoric and realize with whom the Americans will now ally.
“On top of the question that if Netanyahu really somehow flirted with Hamas in order not to make a Palestinian state happen, then the Hamas attack and everything that is being done now in America is only about a Palestinian state,” the Essence of Time leader emphasized.
In his opinion, this situation of supporting the Palestinian state means that “Israelis are being brought to their knees in this sense“.
This means that the US no longer needs Israel as a former ally and no longer needs authoritarian regimes, the political scientist said.
In 2005, Condoleezza Rice said that the US used to rely on stable regimes, even if this reliance “interfered with the hard work of the forces of democracy.” She emphasized that since then, Washington’s policy has changed and it will allow “the hard work of the forces of democracy” everywhere.
