Russian army improved its position along the front line near Avdeevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the Russian Defense Ministry said on October 11.
“On the Donetsk direction, active actions of the units of the Army Group Yug, supported by aviation, artillery fire and heavy flame-throwing systems, have improved the situation along the front line near the town of Avdeevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the ministry said in a statement.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukrainian armed units lost about 90 militants and ten American MaxxPro armored vehicles in the area of Ocheretino in the DPR as a result of the defeat of the reserves of the 31st Mechanized Brigade.
An ammunition depot of the Ukraianin 110th Mechanized Brigade near the village of Orlovka was also destroyed.
According to the Defense Ministry, the enemy lost up to 330 militants killed and wounded.
“The total losses of the Ukrainian armed units in this direction for the day amounted to up to 330 fighters killed and wounded, a tank, 11 armored personnel carriers, four armored combat vehicles, three cars. During the counter-battery battle, two self-propelled artillery units Krab of Polish manufacture and a howitzer D-20 were hit,” said the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
