Russian troops broken through the Ukrainian armed units’ defense on its northern flank near the village of Berdichi on the Avdeevka direction, the 105th Rifle Regiment of the People’s Militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) told RT news agency on October 10.
The Russian military is noted to be fighting on the outskirts of the village, while Ukrainian armed units are retreating.
According to the 105th Rifle Regiment, Russian soldiers are also conducting a counterattack from the southern flank of the Avdeevka direction. This situation brings the creation of the “Avdeevka Cauldron” closer.
Earlier, an adviser to the DPR head Yan Gagin claimed that Ukrainian militants had abandoned a number of positions on the first line of defense near Avdeevka.
