Air defense forces destroy a Neptune anti-ship missile near the Crimean coast

The air defense forces destroyed a Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missile off the Crimean coast, the Russian Defense Ministry wrote on its Telegram channel on October 3.

“On October 3 at about 8.30 p.m. Moscow time, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using the Neptune anti-ship missile was foiled,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

According to the Defense Ministry, the missile was shot down by on-duty air defense means over the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

On August 29, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the interception of the anti-ship missile Neptune.

On September 13, the Russian Defense Ministry said that two ships were damaged as a result of a cruise missile strike on the Ordzhonikidze ship repair plant in Sevastopol.
