Russian Foreign Intelligence Service: USA sends missiles containing toxic substances to terrorists in Syria

03.07.2023, Simferopol.

The US military handed over missiles containing toxic substances to representatives of the terrorist organization Islamic State (organization banned in Russia). RIA Novosti wrote about this on July 3.

It is noted that the missiles containing toxic substances are located in the terrorists’ location in southern Syria, near the villages of Hawiya and Zawria, not far from the US base Al-Tanf.

According to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), the US side is planning a provocation using these missiles to disrupt the normalization of diplomatic relations in the region.

“The Anglo-Saxons are preparing to back up their intrigues with a powerful media campaign, as is their custom. It aims to show the countries of the Arab world that their choice to resume a dialogue with President Bashar al-Assad was a ‘strategic mistake.’ Those who disagree with this approach are being threatened directly with sanctions,” the paper quotes an unnamed SVR spokesman as saying.

It is also worth noting that, according to the intelligence service, the Al-Tanf base, which formally is the location of the US-British Intelligence Committee, is, in fact, a headquarters for managing the actions of various armed gangs opposing the legitimate government of the Syrian Arab Republic.

Earlier, representatives of foreign ministries of the countries that make up the League of Arab States (LAS) approved the restoration of the Syrian Arab Republic to the organization. The LAS summit with the participation of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was held in May 2023 in Saudi Arabia.
