NATO member-states are De jure, involved in the conflict in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on May 24 at the 11th international meeting of high representatives in charge of security issues.
“In fact, and in fact, de jure, NATO member-states are directly involved in the conflict on the side of Kiev,” the diplomat stressed.
He noted that such behavior increases the likelihood of a direct military clash of nuclear states. Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry sends signals to the West saying that such developments are unacceptable. However, these signals are either used for propaganda purposes or simply ignored, Lavrov said.
The Russian Foreign Ministry sent a note to NATO member-states because of the weapons supplies to Kiev. Lavrov has already stated that NATO is directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine. Not only because of the weapons supplies, but also because of the training of military personnel on its territory.
