The US is building an anti-China alliance in the Pacific and forcing its allies to bear the costs of a future war in the region, according to a summary from the war theater in the Essence of Time newspaper No. 532.
At the end of April, Australia announced it would allocate $2.7 billion for the purchase of American weapons and for the expansion of its own production of ammunition and components. In addition, Australia is allocating $2.5 billion for modernization and expansion of military bases in the north of the country.
According to Australian Defense Minister Richard Marles, this is the most ambitious defense priority revision for the past 40 years.
“The US is actively building an anti-Chinese alliance in the Pacific, forcing allies to invest in a war that is alien to them,” according to the editorial in the Essence of Time newspaper.
