Large Ukrainian reconnaissance drone crashes in a field near Rostov-on-Don in Russia

A Ukrainian reconnaissance drone was discovered in the Rostov region, the Telegram channel SHOT reported on May 5.

SHOT wrote that a local resident found the three-meter-long drone in a field two kilometers away from the Nizhnedonskoye village.

The local resident who discovered the drone contacted the law enforcement authorities, and the specialists who arrived at the site seized the drone, which was three meters long and 75 cm wide.

According to SHOT, referring to the report of specialists, the drone came from the territory of Ukraine and crashed for an unknown reason in the field.

According to experts, the drone was supposed to be used to adjust the attack on the local gas distribution station.

It was previously reported that this was not the first Ukrainian drone to crash on Russian territory. On the night of May 4, the drone exploded, crashing on the territory of the Novoshakhtinsk oil products plant in the village of Kiselyovka, Krasnosulinsky district, Rostov region. It crashed into the structures of the inter-workshop overpass under construction.

In April 2023, a Ukrainian drone with 17 kilograms of explosives crashed near the Zarya gardening non-commercial partnership in Bogorodsky district, Moscow Region.
