Novoshakhtinsk refinery continues its work after Ukrainian drone attack

The Novoshakhtinsk refinery in the Rostov region continued to work as usual despite the drone attack last night, press secretary of the regional governor Irina Chetvertakova told journalists on May 4.

“The plant is operating normally after the incident,” she said.

Earlier, Rostov region’s governor Vasiliy Golubev said that a drone crashed into an inter-workshop overpass under construction. Its explosion caused only minor damage. There was a fire, which the plant’s employees extinguished without involving firefighters.

On the night of May 3, a drone attacked an oil depot in the village of Volna, Temryuksky district, Krasnodar Krai. It caused a fire at a tank with oil products. There were no casualties, and no evacuation of the village residents was required.
