A drone with a container for the delivery of C4 explosive plates was shot down near the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant by Russian armed forces, the press service of the law enforcement agencies of Energodar reported on April 30.
“Today, near the city of Energodar, units of the Russian Armed Forces detected and destroyed an enemy drone equipped with a container for the C4 explosive plates delivered to Ukraine from the United States,” the press service noted.
The department explained that the contents of the aircraft could cause significant harm only to civilians, it is useless to use it against armored vehicles.
“Thanks to the vigilance and professionalism of law enforcement officers, the criminal intentions of the terrorist Ukrainian regime were stopped,” the press service pointed out.
On April 29, a Ukrainian drone, produced by the United States, was also shot down by Russian air defense forces near Energodar, near the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. The downed UAV turned out to be a Quantix Recon reconnaissance vehicle of the US company AeroVironment. It was found that it carries out automated data collection and can conduct reconnaissance of the area without direct intervention of the operator.
