23.04.2023, Moscow.

A strike by Russian troops near Kharkov has hit the workshops of a facility where Ukrainian Strizh drones were being repaired and tested, the Russian Defense Ministry’s press service said on April 23.

The agency noted that operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces defeated 84 artillery units of the Ukrainian army at firing positions, manpower and equipment in 118 areas.

In the vicinity of the Kharkov, the shops of an aviation industry enterprise where Ukrainian Strizh unmanned aerial vehicles were being repaired and tested were hit. The command and observation post of a battalion of the 58th mechanized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian army was hit near the Serebryanka settlement of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the report reads.

As a reminder, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he decided to conduct a special military operation to protect Donbass in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR. The purpose of the operation is the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.

In his congratulations on the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, addressed to the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics on May 9, Vladimir Putin stressed that at present servicemen of the Russian Federation, DPR and LPR, like their ancestors, are fighting shoulder to shoulder to liberate their native land from Nazi filth, and expressed confidence in Victory, as in 1945.

The Russian leader reminded that at present the common duty of all who honor the great memory of the Great Patriotic War is to prevent the revival of Nazism, which brought so much suffering to people of various countries.
