Strikes by the Ukrainian armed units against Russian territory are an acceptable tactic, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said on April 21, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung informed.
In his opinion, Ukrainian servicemen are not directly attacking Russian cities and civilian areas with civilians.
“As long as there are no attacks on cities, civilians, and civilian areas, this has to be accepted as a necessity,” Pistorius noted.
The politician added that such actions by the Ukrainian armed units might not necessarily be committed out of malice. According to him, they may be necessary measures to cut off supply routes.
Pistorius noted that Germany would continue to support Ukraine, but without crossing reasonable boundaries. Berlin will not transfer prohibited weapons.
