Ukraine can be flooded with weapons as much as it wants, but it will not defeat Russia, the well-known German journalist Alice Schwarzer said in an interview with the newspaper Die Welt on April 9.
Schwarzer explained that the weapons supplied to Ukraine would only increase the number of victims. The journalist insists that peaceful negotiations without preconditions are necessary to resolve the conflict.
According to the journalist, the warmongering rhetoric of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is unacceptable. Schwarzer also called the decision of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to issue an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin insane.
According to Schwarzer, if the logic of the ICC is followed, then US presidents George H.W. Bush and Barack Obama should have been put in the dock first. As for Ukraine, from the German publicist’s point of view, Kiev should abandon its ambitions to join NATO and even the EU.
