10.04.2023, Artemovsk.
The city of Artemovsk will definitely be restored, acting DPR head Denis Pushilin said on April 10 while visiting the city; Pushilin posted a video address on his Telegram channel.
Pushilin said that the city would definitely “be restored, will be renewed.” He cited the example of the city of Mariupol, where, he said, the city “is being actively restored, the rebuilt city is getting even better.”
Earlier, it was reported that there are no buildings in Artemovsk that have remained undamaged. The soldiers of the Russian army continue to evacuate the remaining residents in the city.
Located north of the city of Gorlovka, the large district center of Artemovsk, which was turned into a fortified area by Kiev’s armed units, was occupied by Kiev’s militants in 2014. Before the Ukrainian-Donbass conflict, the city had engineering, metallurgy, and construction industries and was also home to one of Eastern Europe’s largest champagne wineries.
The city is now almost entirely under the control of Russian army servicemen, the Kiev armed units have retreated to the west of the city, and fighting is going on for the railway station
