DPR head: Leaks of classified Pentagon documents may have been deliberate

10.04.2023, Donetsk.

The leak of US military classified documents is being discussed too furiously in the Western media, creating an “information tsunami,” which suggests a deliberate information leak, the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushylin wrote on his Telegram channel on April 10.

“In my opinion, the Western media is very active in creating a real ‘information tsunami’ around the leaked documents, which suggests the deliberate nature of such a step,” Pushilin said.

Perhaps this is a preparation of the world community to reduce support for Ukraine on the eve of a frequently discussed counterattack by Ukrainian armed units, according to Pushilin.

However, he stressed that one should not give in to provocations of the West anyway. It is necessary to keep working.

It is stressed that the West is trying to mislead by distracting attention from what has become known as a result of leaks of classified information, but it is in vain. Bitter experience has taught Russia to treat everything with considerable skepticism, Pushilin said.

He said that everything that was said in the leaked classified documents, including possible plans of attack, should be checked. However, Russia has to take into account that this could also be a “double game,” so if Kiev plans to hit the facilities indicated in the leaked classified materials, then Russia needs to further secure these facilities, regardless of the reasons for the publication of these documents.

Pushilin points to the obvious involvement of the United States in the conflict in Ukraine, saying that it was not a secret to anyone. At the same time, he said that the leak of classified data could only affect the position of those states that have illusions about the true goals of the US in the world.
