Kurginyan explains why Russia must stand firm in its confrontation with the West

Russia must stand firm in its confrontation with the West, otherwise it will vanish as a result of the war for the Russian-Belarusian Succession, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in an interview to the BelTA Belarusian channel published on March 23

According to the political scientist, China, as an ally, does not pose a danger to Russia as long as it holds its ground in the confrontation with the West. With that said, Kurginyan is convinced that our neighbors demonstrate anti-Americanism – “in a very conditional and cautious way” – as long as Russia holds on. “And they will behave quite differently if we don’t hold back.”

Russia’s defeat will result in a war between the East and the West – not for Russia and Belarus, but for their succession, warned the expert.

“If this is going to be a war for the Russian-Belarusian Succession, then we will reap a complete liquidation as its deadly fruits, and it will unfold on our territory,” said Kurginyan.

Therefore, Russia has no choice: “we must stand firm, and we shall overcome”, the expert is confident.

Kurginyan spoke about Russia’s desire to turn either to the West or to the East, about Russia which is avoiding “turning to itself.” According to him, Russia acts as a character in a joke, who’s lost the wallet and patting first one pocket, then the other. When asked why not look in the third, replies: “I’m afraid – what if it’s not there either?”

“Everyone is patting the Eastern and Western pockets, just like in that joke, because they are afraid — what if there is nothing, let’s say, in a neo-Soviet pocket,” explained the leader of the Essence of Time movement.
