Kremlin: Dissatisfaction of some countries with OPEC+ decision is their own business

Dissatisfaction with the decision of Russia and other OPEC+ countries to reduce oil production, which was expressed by some countries, is their personal business, the Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists on April 3.

“The position of both OPEC+ and OPEC is important in the interests of global energy, the maintenance of global energy. We should be guided by this, and whether other countries are satisfied or dissatisfied with this is their own business,” Peskov said.

On April 2, Russia announced that it extends the decision to reduce daily oil production by 500 thousand barrels per day until the end of 2023.

On April 2, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Iraq and Algeria announced the decision to reduce production by 500 thousand barrels per day, starting from May until the end of 2023.

On April 3, the media reported that the White House was outraged by the decision of OPEC+ countries to reduce oil production.
