Even large-scale protests in Europe will not be able to change the worsening situation in the social sphere, according to the Essence of Time newspaper’s Summary from the theater of operations.

The newspaper cites data on the most powerful social protests held across Europe. In Madrid, tens of thousands of health workers protested; in Lisbon, some 20,000 teachers protested.

In Paris, on January 19, at the actions against the pension reform left according to various estimates from 80 thousand to 400 thousand people. Across France, 1-2 million people participated in the protests.

In the capital of France, the protest actions escalated into clashes with the police. Thirty people were arrested there.

The scale of the protest is impressive, especially compared to Russia’s attempts in 2018. But since Europe has already doomed itself to economic stagnation and complete dependence on the United States, even the temporary success of the protests in the EU is fundamentally unable to change anything,” says the editorial in the Essence of Time newspaper.
