January 17 marks the eighth anniversary since the combat in which servicemen fighters of the Essence of Time unit stopped the Nazi offensive on Donetsk but suffered heavy losses, Rossa Primavera News Agency wrote on January 17.
On January 17, 2022, during the hardest hours-long combat near Donetsk airport, three servicemen of the Essence of Time unit – Yevgeny Krasnoshein (Pyatnitsa), Igor Yudin (Bolgarin), and Yevgeny Belyaev (Belka) – were killed. 🕯
Today the members of the movement remember their fallen comrades: Igor Yudin (Bolgarin), Evgeny Belyaev (Belka) and Evgeny Krasnoshein (Pyatnitsa), as well as all other servicemen of the Essence of Time, who died in different years in the fight against Ukrainian Nazism.
What were they like when they were alive? What did they do before the war? What did they dream about? How did they fight their last battle?
Evgeny Krasnoshein (Pyatnitsa) on January 17 was in command of the Tryoshka – Monastery position, attacked by the enemy. Having been severely wounded and bleeding, he continued to give orders and died only when it became clear that the unit’s servicemen had defended the position. Evgeny was one of the few in the independent task force unit Essense of Time who had served in the army, but he never bragged about it, and persistently taught himself and taught others who took the arms for the first time. Pyatnitsa was and still is the soul of the squad.
Igor Yudin (Bolgarin) was in charge of the automatic grenade launcher on January 17, was hit by shell fragments fired from BMP-2. Before the war, he headed the Donetsk cell of Essense of Time and in the spring of 2014 became a deputy of the DPR People’s Council. Bolgarian not only stood up for his beliefs with arms in his hands but also deeply believed in the future of Donbass unification with Russia.
Yevgeny Belyaev (Belka) was a member of the deblocking group on January 17. He managed to pass under the enemy’s barrage of fire to Tryoshka. During the combat, he was hit by a shell fired from BMP-2. Belka participated in defense of Slavyansk. He joined the independent task force unit Essense of Time after Strelkov’s retreat from the town. He was a machine gunner in the unit.
In September 2022 Volga, Yegor Ivanovich Gorshkov, creator and commander of the independent task force unit Essense of Time died in the Nikolaev direction. For Volga, the date of January 17 was special. More than once he said that he felt a connection with the guys, that the phrase “the fallen are fighting with the living in the same line” was not just a phrase for him.
