Artemovsk has been taken into operational encirclement, advisor to the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Igor Kimakovsky said on January 12 on the air of Channel One Russia.
“The city is now in an operational encirclement; we concentrate forces on two directions to finally encircle city,” he said of the situation with Artemovsk.
He noted that the artillery of the Russian Armed Forces has control over virtually the whole area around the city.
Earlier Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated that the Ukrainian armed units in Artemovsk would receive ammunition quickly and without delay.
