We publish a summary of events concerning the situation around Ukraine as of 7 p.m., December 30.

Political situation

The State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich declared the readiness of the republic to create together with Russia a grouping of troops of any size and composition.

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry summoned Ambassador of Ukraine Igor Kizim to express “a strong protest in connection with the incident with the missile.” Belarusian Foreign Ministry spokesman Anatoliy Glaz told reporters.

Minsk does not rule out that the fall of the Ukrainian missile on the territory of Belarus was a provocation by Kiev, said Kirill Kazantsev, head of the Belarusian antiaircraft missile troops.

Vladimir Putin’s statements at the talks with Xi Jinping:

– Moscow is expecting Xi Jinping for an official visit in spring 2023;

– Russia and China will strengthen military cooperation;

– Against the backdrop of increasing geopolitical tensions, the importance of the partnership between Russia and China as a stabilizing factor is growing;

– Russia-China relations are on the highest level in history, withstanding all challenges;

– Russia and China will reach the goal of increasing trade turnover to $200 billion ahead of schedule;

– Russia became the second-largest gas supplier gas to China and the fourth-largest supplier of LNG;

– Russian Federation to increase gas supply to China next year.

In 2022, 1,443 apartment buildings, and about 780 different social facilities were built and repaired in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, 307 boiler houses were restored, and 188 new block-modular boiler houses were purchased and assembled. Ukraine

An air raid was sounded throughout the territory under the control of Ukraine.

There is damage to the energy infrastructure as a result of the attack – Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko. “As of 11:00 a.m., the situation is difficult in the west of the country, Odessa and Kiev regions. Therefore, there will be emergency blackouts,” the minister said.

40% of Kiev residents have been left without electricity, Mayor Klitschko said.

Ukraine will receive ATACMS missiles with a range of up to 300 km next year – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba. But, he said, it will also depend on the situation on the battlefield.

Western countries and their supporters

“It may sound paradoxical, but military support for Ukraine is the fastest way to peace,” NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said, according to Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. According to him, Putin should have been persuaded that he would not achieve his goal of taking control over Ukraine. Then a peaceful negotiated solution could be found to guarantee Ukraine’s survival as an independent democratic state.
