21.12.2022, Gori.

Citizens of Georgia marked Joseph Stalin’s birthday in Gori on December 21, Rustavi 2 TV channel reports.

According to journalists, the protesters gathered with red flags near the Joseph Stalin Museum. Several dozen people gathered at the statue of former USSR General Secretary and laid flowers.

The rally participants addressed the gathering and demanded to return the Stalin monument dismantled in 2010 to Gori.

In 2008, Georgian authorities promoted a project that stipulated the transformation of the Joseph Stalin Museum in Gori into the Museum of Russian aggression. However, deputies of the city legislative assembly did not support this project, and in 2017 it was abandoned completely.
