If 20 percent of gas is not saved, the situation will become critical for Germany, president of the German Federal Network Agency Klaus Müller said on December 15.
He said that December could be the coldest December in 10 years. If 20 percent of gas is not saved throughout the winter, “the situation will become critical.”
Müller urged restraint in heating. “It is not always necessary to heat all rooms,” he stressed.
According to him, gas consumption has exceeded expectations, and on December 12, the amount of gas in UGS decreased by 1%.
