The West wants to punish Russia for its disobedience in Ukraine in such a way that no one would dare to repeat anything similar, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on December 9 in an interview with Anna Shafran on Radio Zvezda published on YouTube.
“They need to punish severely… in such a way that no one would dare to repeat anything similar, and everyone realized that the US is the master and who rules the world”, said Kurginyan.
The West believes it defeated Russia in the Cold War in 1991. Therefore, the US is guided by the ancient Roman rule, which assumes an exemplary punishment to rebellious slaves, said the philosopher. According to him, the West is longing for a high-definition image of a demonstrative reprisal against the Russian political authorities, following the example of what happened with Muammar Gaddafi.
“The uprising must be crushed, and everyone must see the Appian Way with crucifixions along its side, and so on,” the political scientist explained the logic of the US confrontation with Russia in the Ukrainian conflict.
For Washington, the price of victory is at least four trillion dollars, added the expert.
“It’s a lot of money, it’s worth working hard for it. It benefits them. There are no issues: will Europe collapse? They can spit at her ten times!” — said the expert.
According to him, the US is prepared to accept any costs for the Western public, including a noticeable deterioration in living standards, after which it will be possible to increase the profitability of its own industry.
“Slaves have long needed to reduce their rations so that they become more animated, mobile and produce some kind of real profit. Otherwise, it is tiresome to transfer industrial production to Southeast Asia where they work for pennies. Let them do the work here! — Kurginyan describes the position of Russia’s opponents.
The West has no serious reasons for making concessions to Russia, concluded the expert.
