China is ready to help create a collective security architecture in the Persian Gulf, Chinese President Xi Jinping said, the Global Times reported on December 10.
Xi had earlier arrived to Saudi Arabia to attend the first Sino-Arab summit, during which he made an official statement.
According to Xi, China and the Arab countries should be partners in ensuring common security.
He also pointed out that China will continue to stand firmly behind Arab countries in ensuring their security, as well as support regional countries’ efforts to settle disagreements through dialogue and consultation.
Beijing is also ready to participate in building a collective security architecture in the Persian Gulf, Xi stated.
