Kurginyan: Situation in Ukraine is developing by not the most nightmarish scenario

The situation with the conflict in Ukraine is not as nightmarish for Russia as it could be, said philosopher, analyst, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in an interview with BelTA on November 19.

So far, the situation is not as nightmarish as it could be. The nightmarish situation is to imagine a nuclear-free conventional war with all of NATO,” Kurginyan said.

He added that in such a scenario, NATO divisions could flood in from Germany, Poland, the United States, and other countries of the alliance, but this is not the case, and Ukraine is quite localized.

Yes, it [Ukraine] is supplied with all sorts of things, yes it will be equipped, but this is the rule of the game for us that is very painful but tolerable,” the political scientist explained.

US authorities tried to assess the Kremlin’s readiness to use nuclear weapons, and were convinced that Moscow is determined and concentrated enough to pursue its goals with conventional means of defense, the expert noted.

Kurginyan believes that the Russian authorities have no other options but to consistently correct the mistakes of the first period of the special operation.
